Denver Dog Doo

Q: Tell me more about the cornstarch-based bags you use?Denver Dog
A: Biobags are made from cornstarch, vegetable oil and other renewable resources, all of which are 100% biodegradable and compostable. BioBags bags are GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) free, certified for use in organic agriculture. If you want to find out even more, check out the BioBags web site.

Q: Are you insured?Pet Sitters Associates LLC
A: Yes, we are fully insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC and are registered through the state of Colorado. As added peace of mind, Karen has been fingerprinted with a background check (on record with Girl Scouts). She worked at Girl Scouts of Colorado for eight years, proving to be dependable, honest and prepared for anything.

Q: Isn't dog doo good fertilizer for my lawn?
A: Unlike horse and cow manure, dog waste is protein-based and therefore burns or kills vegetation. That reason, plus nasty bacteria, is why dog doo shouldn't go into compost.

Q: Won't dog doo "disappear" into the yard if it rains?
A: If it does, it ends up in the water shed. Water contaminated by dog feces can transmit all sorts of nasties. Yuck.

Q: Can you work with my dog(s) in the yard?
A: We love animals and look forward to tossing a ball for your pooch before and after we scoop. However, if your dog is territorial or aggressive we may ask you to confine the animal on service days.

Q: Can I schedule service for a certain day?
A: We work Monday through Friday and schedule our routes based on location and proximity. If you require a certain service day we will work with you to try and achieve this.

Q: Does the first visit cost extra?
A: It depends on the accumulation of dog doo. If your yard hasn't been cleaned in more than two weeks, there may be a one-time first visit charge. This will be discussed with you in advance at the first meeting.

Q: Is there one-time-only service?
A: Absolutely! If you are hosting a party, your mother-in-law is visiting
or you are selling a home, let us make sure your yard is clean and presentable. Rates for one-time service are based on the size of the
yard and the amount of dog doo. The minimum charges are on the pricing chart.

Q: Why should I hire a dog walker?
A: Dogs love walks almost as much as food. Maybe more. Dogs also love to be around people but you don't always have enough time for them. That's where a dog walker comes in. If your dog gets exercise and attention during the day, they won't be bored. This can eliminate bad behaviors such as barking, digging or chewing. When you come home from work, you will find a happy dog!

Q. When is payment due?
A: For regular customers, there is convenient monthly billing. Billing for dog doo removal is on the 1st of each month after services are rendered. Regular dog-walking customers (3 or more times a week) are billed on the 1st and 15th. Payments for one-time clean up or infrequent walks are due at the time of service.
